Idy Fischler Scholarship — Penncrest High School | NextJawn
Idy Fischler Scholarship
In memory of Idy Claire Fischler, her family and friends have established this scholarship fund in her name to be awarded to one graduating student from Penncrest High School who displays the qualities and ambition of Idy.
Idy was a devoted German and English teacher at Penncrest High School for 36 years. Throughout her life Idy was always looking for adventure. She spent her life on the move, traveling and spending time with family and friends both near and far. She is remembered for her desire to travel, her great sense of humor, love of thrifting, and her excellent grammar. Idy was a true friend to all who knew her and was deeply loved by so many.
We are looking for applicants who are making an impact in their community as Idy did: a student who loves education and may even seek to become a teacher; a student who has a passion for foreign languages or who may be looking to travel the world.
In your own words, tell us about yourself and your plans for this scholarship gift. Describe your own attributes and characteristics that relate to any of Idy's passions or personality traits. There are no requirements for the length of your essay.
All essays must be received no later than Monday, May 11, 2027. Please email your essay to her niece, Elisabeth Clark, at ElisabethTClark@gmail.com.
